Would you like to pet my Monkey?

From Hiroshima we travelled to Miyajima, an easily accessible island. We spent the day here. It was incredibly hot. After the shrine the gang split up once more. Double J and myself opted for the outdoor mountain top monkey experience, while the others went for the under cover A/C aquarium sea lion chorus line. I think we all made wise decisions.

Jen and I in front of the "Floating Torii". Too bad the tide was out, it would have been even more spectacular out in the sea.

The shrine the "Floating Torii" leads to.

Jen, Jo and I took a cable car up to the top of Miyajima. The Barnes' went to the aquarium.

The view was spectacular.

Oh Ya! That feels good doesn't it?!

It was so hot that even the monkeys were just lazing around. Don't blame them.

This dude was picking ticks off the deer! I imagine it's a long term relationship. The deer never flinched!

This just cuz.

Monkeys, monkeys! It's the outdoor mountain top monkey experience for me too, every time.

I hope you kids are having a happy time. You look happy. And drunk.

Hi Jen and Aaron!
Love the monkey shots! The one of the monkey and deer reminds me of when I groom pP excpet he is not as compliant as the deer is.
We miss you guys!

She's right. Pick Pick Pick!!!! There's nothing more bizarre than walking in the middle of the night to your loved one picking away at you....

I tried to get one of the monkeys to groom me, but instead he just started flinging poo! Must be the language barrier!

I trust that when you return you will be well educated in the art of zen. There are days I could certainly use it!

Great photos. Wish we were there.
